Hiya, I see you've stumbled on my OOC Player page to learn more about me! My name is Raeven, though most people call me Rae for short. I've been playing Final Fantasy since 2020! A friend first convinced me to download it back then, though i was resistant because of my days in WoW and how bad of an experience I had at the time, but I soon found myself in the character creation screen! Initially, I was going to be a free player to give the game a try, but that was very short lived when I had seen and heard about Viera and couldn't make my very first character one, so I bought the game, and expansions up to Shadowbringers, and here I am today still on my first character!When I'm in game you can usually find me with my friends, and my loving FC, EDEN. I love crafting, gathering (sometimes), and generally helping folks out with whatever that may be, even if it means I'm on my crafter for hours on end making end-game equipment for them after I speedrun pentamelding maxed out gear, haha. Other than that, if you can't find me doing that I'm working clubs or spending time with my fiancé, or kitties! I love meeting new people so please don't be shy if you see me, I'd love to chat.

In the Beginning...
Long ago Raeven Merlot (né Raeven Rak'Tika), spent most of her days sitting alone in the Rak'Tika Greatwoods, her home. She followed the law of the Matriarchy, learning the teachings and skills her people had to offer and share with her. As she grew older, her curiosities grew from all of the stories she would read or hear from the passerby's journeys. This curiosity grew, and she began to question her culture, finally rearing its head when on her brother's 13th nameday, he was discovered to be male. This marked the seal of his fate to be sent to live outside of Vieran culture, and have Raeven be seperated from her best friend.When this was announced to her family she stood up in disgust and anger, she couldn't believe her very ears, watching the women of her family, her mother and grandmother, shrug this news off as if it were some kind of routine and innevitable thing in their culture. With this news, at the age of 21, Raeven finally decided her OWN fate. She called the women of her life into a meeting around the time of a breeding season, and expressed her distaste and discomfort. She argued their culture was wrong, and that next she found a traveler passing through Rak'Tika she would leave and make a name for herself, Viera culture behind her.The women let out annoyed, and angry sighs, shrugging her off and telling her she would have to be stupid to leave the culture behind, because she would no longer be welcome in their tribe should she chose to leave. In a final act of defiance, she packed her bags and departed for the greater world of Eorzea, starting her journey in Ul'dah and finding herself at the steps of the Thaumaturgy Guild.
The Start of a New Journey...
When she arrived at the steps of the Thaumaturgy Guild, tired from her lengthy airship journey, she took a deep breath, not knowing what it was that would lie ahead for her in her future. She hadn't a clue what her future would hold, nor whom it was she would surround herself with, but what she did know was that no matter what she would continue to be the warrior her culture had taught her to be. The peace was very short lived as a group of several individuals all about a third of her height stomped by, with business attire and witts about them all.She followed close behind them, a little annoyed by their stature and preppy attitudes that reminded her of the women from home. Without noticing, she found that she had finally stepped through the threshold of the doorway, and was quickly greeted by the guildmaster who seemed both confused and excited to see a Vieran woman.TO BE CONTINUED...
